About the Paulownia
Paulownia is an excellent lightweight timber with extensive application scenarios.
1. Lightweight and Tough: Paulownia ranks among the lightest timbers worldwide. Its air-dry density ranges from 0.28 to 0.3 grams per cubic centimeter, nearly 40% lighter than ordinary wood. Light weight and outstanding toughness are its core strengths.
2. Low Deformation Rate: Thanks to its low shrinkage coefficient, paulownia timber hardly bends, warps or deforms after processing.
3. Moisture-proof Performance: Fully dried paulownia features low water absorption and great durability, which can keep stable dry conditions for a long time.
4. Acid-resistant and Flame-retardant: Paulownia has a fire resistance rating of 425℃, which is a rare natural property for timber. It also boasts excellent rot and acid resistance. For this reason, paulownia has long been adopted to make traditional burial coffins.
5. Wear Resistance: Despite its low density and light weight, paulownia wood delivers favorable wear resistance.
6. Elegant Natural Texture: Paulownia has silky luster and fine, delicate texture, with exquisite natural wood grain.
7. Stable Acoustic Performance: Paulownia is a premium material for musical instrument manufacturing. It can maintain stable timbre regardless of changing weather conditions, hence comes the well-known reputation of "Paulownia for Zithers". The panels of multiple traditional Chinese musical instruments, including dulcimer, pipa, erhu and liuqin, are mainly made of paulownia timber.
8. Easy Processing, Carving and Dyeing: Paulownia is easy to cut, carve and color. In the construction industry, it can be made into building purlins, doors, windows, ceilings, skirting boards and indoor partition panels.
Quanlity Control
We have built up a complete set of quality inspection rules for wood panel manufacturing. To keep our products steady and qualified at all times, we hire six experienced, full-time quality inspectors who specialize in wooden product production. They take charge of quality checks covering every production stage. Following universal international wood industry standards, we carry out every inspection procedure strictly, from raw material sourcing and manufacturing to finished goods shipment, so no production detail will be overlooked.
To begin with, our inspectors conduct strict screening for raw timber. They will confirm the wood species, test wood moisture content, and check common natural flaws such as knots, insect holes, rot and cracks. Any substandard timber with improper moisture content or broken texture will be rejected directly. This strict pre-inspection helps us rule out raw material problems at the very beginning, and prevent hidden quality risks of final wood panels.
Besides, on-site quality checks run through the entire production process. Our inspectors take shifts to supervise key processing steps, including cutting, planing, gluing, finger jointing and surface sanding. They measure product dimensions, test adhesive strength, and examine surface flatness as well as edge condition on a regular basis. If any processing failure is found on site, we will pause production immediately to fix the issue, and stop faulty products from being produced in bulk.
Last but not least, we will make thorough inspections for finished goods before packing. Our team double-checks product overall sizes, color consistency, surface scratches and sharp burrs, and runs contamination and hardness tests as well. Only panels that meet all quality requirements can be packed for delivery. In addition, our inspectors will check outer packages and shipping marks carefully, to satisfy all export shipment standards.
